Do you want to make a difference to the lives of Hordle’s young people? Do you want to have fun, learn new skills, and join a friendly community? Then it sounds like you’ll be interested in volunteering with us!
We are looking for two types of volunteer…
Assistant Section Leaders and Section Assistants
These are the people who help run our weekly sessions for different age groups, from Beavers to Scouts. They plan and deliver exciting activities, support the young people in their personal development, and ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable time.
You don’t need any previous experience or qualifications to join us as an assistant. We provide all the training and support you need, and you can choose how much time you want to commit. You can come along to a few sessions to see how it goes, and decide if it’s something you enjoy.
Volunteering as an assistant is a rewarding and fulfilling experience. You will see the young people grow in confidence, learn new skills, and have fun. You’ll also make new friends, challenge yourself, and have fun too!
Trustee Board Members
These are the people who oversee the strategic direction and governance of our organisation. They ensure we comply with the law, manage our finances, and support the leadership team and other volunteers. They also help with other aspects of running the organisation, such as fundraising, marketing, and administration.
We are currently in need of a Chair, and Trustee Board Members.
You don’t need to have a Scouting background to join our Trustee Board. We welcome people from all walks of life. We also provide all the training and support you need, and you can choose how much time you want to commit.
Volunteering for our trustee board is a great way to give back to your community, and help us achieve our vision of preparing young people for life. You will also learn new skills and be part of a passionate and dedicated team.
Why not give it a go?
If you are interested in volunteering with us, please get in touch. We would love to hear from you and answer any questions you might have.
Thank you for your interest and support!
