In July 2024, our Scouts and Cubs returned to Braggers Wood for another unforgettable weekend of adventure. This time, they were joined by our Beavers for a day of fun and discovery.
The Scouts and Cubs kicked off the camp on Friday evening, settling into the campsite and preparing for two nights under the stars. Saturday was jam-packed with activities that tested their skills and brought the whole group closer together. Archery, tomahawk throwing, camp craft, and a scenic hike through the forest kept everyone busy, with plenty of laughter and teamwork along the way.
On Saturday, the Beavers arrived to get in on the action, joining the Scouts and Cubs for a day of outdoor fun. From learning new camp skills to trying their hand at archery, they jumped right in, showing just how adventurous they could be.
Our older Scouts completed their Expedition Challenge Award – their activities included preparation for and completion of independent hike!
This is the second year we’ve gone to Braggers Wood, and it’s quickly becoming a firm favourite with our group. The mix of excitement, outdoor challenges, and a chance to learn new skills made it a weekend to remember.
